Call for Speakers: Applications Open
Share Your Expertise at the 2027 Conference
RFABC Associate Members bring a wealth of industry knowledge, technical expertise and experience to BC’s recreation sector—and we encourage you to consider sharing that knowledge with our delegates.
The 2027 RFABC Annual Conference & Trade Show, taking place April 26–29, 2027, at the Vancouver Island Conference Centre in Nanaimo, will feature educational sessions across four streams:
- Arena Operations
- Aquatic Operations
- Facility Leadership
- Programs & Services
We’re looking for practical, informative presentations that help recreation professionals solve problems, explore new approaches and bring useful ideas back to their facilities and communities.
This could include technical knowledge, emerging technologies, innovative projects, case studies, industry trends, operational solutions or lessons learned through your work in the recreation sector.
Keep It Educational
Conference sessions are an opportunity to educate and share expertise—not sell products or services. Presentations should provide genuine educational value and should not include sales pitches or promotional content.

Presentations addressing one or more of the identified Hot Topics may receive stronger consideration during the selection process.
Associate Members interested in presenting are encouraged to submit their session ideas now.
Applicants will be asked to provide:
- Speaker biography
- Presentation title
- Presentation description
- Presentation evaluation abstract
Sessions are one hour in length, including time for questions and discussion.
