Recreational Ice-Skating Instructor Courses

The Recreational Ice-Skating Instructors course offers interactive and fun in-class and on-ice sessions for experienced skaters who are interested in teaching foundational skating skills in a recreational environment. This 16-hour provincially recognized course provides participants with an RFABC Certificate upon successful completion.

The Recreational Ice-Skating Instructor Course offers interactive and fun in-class and on-ice sessions for experienced skaters who are interested in teaching foundational skating skills in a recreational environment. Supervisors wishing to increase and grow their instructional knowledge and awareness, would also benefit from this course. This 16-hour provincially recognized course provides participants with an RFABC Certificate upon successful completion.

Topics covered include: learning styles, teaching methods, communication, feedback, class management and safety, skill progressions, activities, and lesson plans.

Participants must be at least 16 years or older to register for this course. This is a 2-day weekend course.
